The remote tea gardens of West Bengal have started vaccinations against COVID-19. Our Community Correspondent Menuka Saha Pradhan reports from Jurantee tea garden in Jalpaiguri district. People above the age of 45 years have been given priority as of now, and vaccinations for 18 and above would start soon.
"They asked me for my Aadhar card and mobile number, that's it", said one of the persons who got vaccinated.
The camp has been organised by the district's health department and local ANMs are administering the jab. Fortunately, there are less rumors about vaccines and people are eagerly coming to the vaccination centres.
